Bob Barrett is a Southern California based composer, orchestrator and conductor with over thirty years experience working with local artists on live performance and recording projects as well as misc. film and TV projects. He was also an instructor at the famed Grove School of Music in Los Angeles and led the orchestra at Saddleback Church for twenty years.
As an arranger Bob has provided musical services for Diana Ross. Pat Benatar, Arturo Sandoval, David Pack (Ambrosia), Colton Dixon (American Idol Season 11 finalist), Joe Cocker, Bill Medley (The Righteous Brothers), jazz musicians Stan Getz and Victor Feldman, Chita Rivera, Tony Tennille, Maureen McGovern, Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, TV host Steve Allen, and The Air Force Tops In Blue including work with comedian Bob Hope.
Recentl performances by the Chicago Symphony Brass, the National Brass Ensemble, and the Real Filharmonía de Galicia of Santiago, Spain have featured compositions by Arturo Sandoval arranged and orchestrated by Bob.
As an educator his students have included Abe Laboriel Jr. (Paul McCartney Band, Lady GaGa), worship leader/songwriter Paul Baloche (Above All, Open the Eyes of My Heart), actor Bruce Greenwood (National Treasure 2), and he’s had the privilege of teaching the children and family members of such noted celebrities as Robert Goulet and Carol Lawrence, Broadway producer Josh Logan, film director Sidney Pollack and rock musician Kevin Cronan of REO Speedwagon.
